I’m beginning to write this on my phone whilst being serenaded by a Mariachi band in a romantic looking garden. I’m not sure who exactly but it’s a party for someone’s High School graduation. We’re enjoying some authentic Mexican food, and there’s a great vibe going down.

So here I am, sat on a Greyhound coach in San Francisco, heading towards my home for the next few months in Fresno (CA). Full of hope for what the future holds and impressed that this coach has WiFi, decent cup holders, and power sockets!

So, why am I in the USA? It all started exactly three years ago when I visited New York with my friend Stephen for our 21st birthday. We only spent three days in the big apple but I instantly fell in love with the city and country. I’m not one for getting attached to geographical locations (even if I do enjoy visiting them) but there was a special connection made and since that trip, America has never left me. Three years on and after a lot of thought, prayer, and God making His voice clearly heard on the matter – I’m back.
